Package: kernel
Version: 4Apr2001
Severity: grave

Kernel dies in a PCI access routine (outb?) when setserial restores
a saved serial configuration from a machine with different serial
hardware. I first noticed this when I xeroxed a disk from a c3k
with a 4-port serial card and tried to boot that on one with a
2-port card, but I think the other direction works too.
