Well, that's a bit of a problem.  My clustering functional board says:

Q720 probe unit 0 (siop0) at 0xffc00200, diff = 0, vers = 0
ncr53c720-0: rev 0x0 irq 14
ncr53c720-0: ID 7, chip rev 2 Fast-10, Parity Checking

So it looks like chip revision is pretty useless for indicating which
chips are broken for clustering.
