I agree, but my first brute reading let me feel (this is obviously subjective) that it could be interpreted as it doesn't work.
(That specialy why I didn't say "this notice is false": I experiment it at my begining with this D and known that's absolutly true.)
But you have also right: it's not the right place in a 'HowTo boot' to explain this detail ;-)
(mmm, yes may be better to add this info into the 'config SERIAL_MUX' section of the drivers/serial/Kconfig)
