I see what you mean, I'll rephrase.

Yeah, that may be a bit too detailed for the purpose of that howto...

Yeah but this doesn't contradict in any way what is said. The text
doesn't say it doesn't work if you have the management card, it says
it has an impact on how linux sees the consoles... ;)
