When running vi on an STI console you can crash the system by hitting ESC or other things. I have not included output because I don't have an STI system setup right now. However the problem is very repeatable. pb and I discovered that if you changed TERM to "vt100"(from "linux") then the problem goes away. This is only a normal bug since it only affects STI. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 122-done) by bugs.parisc-linux.org; 12 Jun 2001 00:32:52 +0000 >From deller@gmx.de Mon Jun 11 18:32:52 2001 Received: from mail.gmx.net (pop.gmx.net [194.221.183.20]) by dsl2.external.hp.com (Postfix) with SMTP id AB32F482A for <122-done@bugs.parisc-linux.org>; Mon, 11 Jun 2001 18:32:51 -0600 (MDT) Received: (qmail 9087 invoked by uid 0); 12 Jun 2001 00:32:50 -0000 Received: from pd9040397.dip.t-dialin.net (HELO there) (217.4.3.151) by mail.gmx.net (mail04) with SMTP; 12 Jun 2001 00:32:50 -0000 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" From: Helge Deller To: 122-done@bugs.parisc-linux.org Subject: done Date: Tue, 12 Jun 2001 02:32:24 +0200 X-Mailer: KMail [version 1.2.2] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-Id: <20010612003251.AB32F482A@dsl2.external.hp.com> fixed in 2.4.0-19 (EXTRAVERSION = -pa19) From daniel_frazier@hp.com Mon, 11 Jun 2001 18:48:01 -0600 (MDT) Date: Mon, 11 Jun 2001 18:48:01 -0600 (MDT) From: PA-RISC Linux bug Tracking System daniel_frazier@hp.com Subject: [kernel] bug#104: marked as done (32-bit kernel dies on c3000 when CONFIG_CHASSIS_LCD_LED enabled) X-PA-RISC Linux-PR-Message: closed 104 Your message dated Tue, 12 Jun 2001 02:40:53 +0200 with message-id <20010612004120.4C8B3482A@dsl2.external.hp.com> and subject line was fixed in 2.4.0 - EXTRAVERSION = -pa12 has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.
